Or, how a town cuts budget by asking inhabitants for their priorities.

Wijk bij Duurstede, one of the oldest historical towns in Holland and situated close to Utrecht, has to cope with a smaller budget in the coming years. How can you organize the difficult process of deciding which budget cuts to make without alienating your population? What are the priorities of your inhabitants and voters? Synthetron facilitated a process of civil consultation, leading to new priorities for this beautiful town. In the 2 min animation you will get an insight on how this was organized and which steps were taken to let the citizens participate in an open and effective way.
